Local Places to Visit

  Walks

There are many footpaths giving access to the local country side.  Many go through or are bordered by woods which are full primroses and bluebells in spring and early summer.  The bridleway footpaths from Sandleheath or Alderholt Mill to Damerham church are well worth the effort early in the year when the churchyard is full of snowdrops.

In addition to the extensive areas of the New Forest to the East there is easy access to the network of paths along Ashford Water and the Avon Valley Way.  A useful site showing some local walks is at http://www.hants.gov.uk/rh/walking/fordingbridge.pdf
