You are invited to attend PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL MEETING in Sandleheath Village Hall on Thursday, 9th May 2019 at 7.30pm




  • To elect the Chairman of the Council & to receive the Chairman's Declaration of Acceptance of Office

  • To elect the Vice Chairman of the Council

  • To complete Attendance Book and receive apologies for absence from the meeting

  • To receive any declarations of interest from any Councillor on any agenda item.

  • Public Participation Session: This provides an opportunity for members of the public to raise questions about and comment on items on the agenda.

  • To approve & sign the minutes of the meetings held on 21st March 2019

  • To consider & review the situation following the Parish Council Elections held on 2nd May 2019

    • To consider (and approve, if applicable) the co-option of councillors to fill two vacancies

    • To confirm Acceptance of Office forms completed

    • To confirm Register of Members Interests forms completed

  • Matters arising from previous minutes not appearing as agenda items

  • To review regulatory documentation for Sandleheath Parish Council (to include and not limited to Standing Orders. Financial Regulations, FOIA and GDPR documentation)

  • To appoint an Internal auditor for 2019-2020

  • To review and confirm responsibilities of Parish Councillors 2019-20

  • To appoint a representative on the under mentioned body as required:    

    • Sandleheath Community Association            (1 Member)

    • Sandleheath Village Hall CIO                (1 Member)

  • To consider and approve training for Councillors and Clerk 2019-20

  • To review the Council insurance policy & discuss/decide on alterations (following annual inspection of assets)

  • To pass a resolution in accordance with the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 to exclude the public and representatives of the press and broadcast media for discussion relating to the recruitment of the Clerk where publicity might be prejudicial to the special nature of the business.
