NOTICE OF SANDLEHEATH PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL MEETING

(formerly known as AGM)

 

To all Sandleheath Residents

You are invited to attend PARISH COUNCIL ANNUAL MEETING in St. Aldhelm's, Sandleheath on Thursday, 25th May 2017 at 7.30pm

 

AGENDA

 

  • To elect the Chairman of the Council & to receive the Chairman's Declaration of Acceptance of Office and address to Council.

  • To elect the Vice Chairman of the Council & to receive the Vice Chairman's Declaration of Acceptance of Office

  • To receive apologies for absence.

  • To consider the co-option of a new Sandleheath Parish Councillor to fill casual vacancy

  • To receive any declarations of interest from any Councillor on any agenda item and to receive confirmation from all Councillors that Declaration of Interest forms are up to date.

  • Public Participation Session - This provides an opportunity for members of the public to raise questions about and comment on items on the agenda.

  • To approve & sign the minutes of the meetings held on 23rd March 2017 and 27th April 2017

  • To review, approve & adopt the Standing Orders for Sandleheath Parish Council.

  • To review, approve & adopt the Financial Regulations for Sandleheath Parish Council.

  • To appoint an Internal auditor for 2017-2018

  • To review and confirm responsibilities of Parish Councillors

  • To appoint a representative on the under mentioned body as required:    Sandleheath Community Association  (1 Member); Sandleheath Village Hall CIO (1 Member)

  • To review the Council Asset Register.

  • To consider and approve renewal of the Council insurance & discuss/decide on alterations.

  • To approve/review & decide on amendments to Council policies - Complaints policy & Freedom of Information requests
  • To confirm the dates & times of ordinary meetings of the Council for the ensuing year.

  • Matters to report - To receive an update on actions since the last meeting not appearing as agenda items

  • The Common - To include update on emergency access procedure and signage

  • Future of St Aldhelm's - To receive an update in relation to ongoing long term lease of St. Aldhelm's for the community

  • Highways/Footpaths

    • To receive an update in relation to ongoing repairs relating to highways, including entrance to and signage in relation to Bishops Lane

    • To receive an update in relation to any issues relating to footpaths/cyclepath

  • Parish Lengthsman Scheme - To consider suitable tasks for future visit on 7th August 2017

  • BT Telephone Kiosk - To consider adoption and usage of BT Telephone Box

  • To receive items of correspondence (see Appendix 1)

  • To consider and authorise training for Councillors and Clerk
